Franklin had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Friday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the South Milwaukee Rockets. Six seems to be a good number for the Sabers as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Franklin pushed their record up to 11-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for South Milwaukee, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin will face off against Kenosha Bradford at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Red Devils' pitching crew has only allowed 1.3 runs per game this season, so the Sabers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for South Milwaukee, they will challenge Indian Trail at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
