Basketball Recap: Escalon Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hughson last Tuesday, Escalon came back down to earth. The Escalon Cougars fell just short of the Ripon Christian Knights by a score of 47-44 on Friday. The Cougars have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Escalon's defeat dropped their record down to 15-11. As for Ripon Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Escalon will square off against Ripon at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ripon Christian, they will challenge Orestimba at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
