Baseball Recap: Reseda Comes Up Short

Reseda extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping them down to 1-6. They lost 13-0 to the Sherman Oaks CES Knights. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Regents' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Sherman Oaks CES, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.

For Sherman Oaks CES' part, Nicholas Bilicic made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). Bilicic has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Adrian Friedman, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Blake Stockton, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
