Recap: Cinnaminson Pirates vs. Trenton Catholic Academy
The Cinnaminson Pirates pushed their score all the way to 59 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 64-59 to Trenton Catholic Academy, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Cinnaminson has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Trenton Catholic Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mayah Alford, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Alford is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last nine games she's played. Tori Evans was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with ten rebounds.
Cinnaminson's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Trenton Catholic Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-3.
Cinnaminson won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Delran at 6:30 p.m. on January 18th. Delran has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Trenton Catholic Academy, they will take on University at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. University is coming into the contest hot, having won their last nine games.
