Basketball Recap: Warren Central Comes Up Short

Warren Central lost against Ridgeland two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Warren Central Vikings took a 61-44 bruising from the Ridgeland Titans. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 90th, while the Titans are ranked fifth).

Phil Nelson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Ridgeland, going 6 for 13 on his way to 21 points in addition to six boards and four steals. Khameron Snow was another key player, putting up seven points and nine assists.

Warren Central has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season. As for Ridgeland, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 25-4 record this season.

Warren Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ridgeland, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 53-46 win against Columbus on the 7th.
