Softball Recap: Bradley-Bourbonnais Wins Going Away Against Stagg

While Bradley-Bourbonnais put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Stagg. The Boilermakers blew past the Chargers 10-0. That's two games straight that the Boilermakers have won by exactly ten runs.

The team relied heavily on Bella Pusateri, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Moutrey, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base.

Bradley-Bourbonnais was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are 6-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The victory made it two in a row for Bradley-Bourbonnais and bumps their season record up to 11-7. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Stagg, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Bradley-Bourbonnais will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Oak Forest at 4:30 p.m. The Bengals will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Boilermakers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Stagg, they will head out to challenge Oak Lawn at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Chargers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
