Football Recap: Jefferson RISE Charter Comes Up Short

Jefferson RISE Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 49-34 bruising from the Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy Swamp Owls. The game was a 15-15 toss-up at halftime, but Jefferson RISE Charter couldn't quite close it out.

Jefferson RISE Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Jefferson RISE Charter will square off against Baker on Saturday. As for Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy, they will take on L.W. Higgins at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
