Flag Football Game Preview: Ramona Convent Tigers vs. El Rancho Dons

The Ramona Convent Tigers will head out to challenge the El Rancho Dons at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ramona Convent will be strutting in after a win while El Rancho will be coming in after a defeat.

Ramona Convent's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed two weeks ago. They managed a 6-0 victory over St. Bernard. The Tigers didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this win makes it their second in a row.

Ramona Convent didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Audrey Mendez Osario and Kaori Yonai. Mendez Osario got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, El Rancho came up short against Santa Fe on Wednesday and fell 19-12.

Ramona Convent will have to contain Melissa Perez as she made an impact in El Rancho's last game. She rushed for 81 yards and one score, and also threw for 218 yards and one TD. 96 of those passing yards were hauled in by Sofia Lopez.

El Rancho now has a losing record of 6-7-1. As for Ramona Convent, their victory bumped their record up to 3-11.
