Basketball Game Preview: Holy Trinity Catholic Crusaders vs. New London Tigers

After both having extra time off, the Holy Trinity Catholic Crusaders and the New London Tigers will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Holy Trinity Catholic's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.

Last Friday, Holy Trinity Catholic slipped by Notre Dame 55-54.

Meanwhile, New London was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 72-30 loss at the hands of Mediapolis. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 306th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 97th).

Holy Trinity Catholic's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for New London, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Everything came up roses for Holy Trinity Catholic against New London in their previous matchup back in January, as the team secured a 77-39 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Holy Trinity Catholic since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
