Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Vidor's 11th in Last 12 Outings

Vidor's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to West Orange-Stark on Tuesday. The Vidor Pirates came out on top against the Lumberton Raiders by a score of 53-44. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 241st, while the Raiders are ranked 825th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Vidor has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.9 points per game. As for Lumberton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-15 record this season.

Coincidentally, Vidor and Lumberton will both be playing Silsbee the next time they take the court. Vidor will head out to face Silsbee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Lumberton will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on January 21st.
