Basketball Recap: St. Pauls Comes Up Short

If St. Pauls was riding high fresh off their 56-16 takedown of Red Springs on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs took a 59-43 bruising from the Fairmont Golden Tornadoes on Friday. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Golden Tornadoes recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Fairmont's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aaliyah Duran, who posted nine points along with five assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jayda Dial, who earned 12 points and five boards.

St. Pauls' loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Fairmont, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.
