Basketball Recap: Bible Baptist Drops Highest Score of Season Against Varsity Opponent

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bible Baptist). They came out on top in a nail-biter against Varsity Opponent on Tuesday, sneaking past 64-61. The victory almost wasn't to be: the Eagles were down 40-21 in the second quarter.

It was another big night for David Stapleton, who went 10 of 17 en route to 25 points and five rebounds. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.8 points per game. Another player making a difference was Marcos Carrillo, who posted seven points in addition to seven boards and five assists.
