Basketball Recap: Eagle Ridge Academy Takes a Loss

Eagle Ridge Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. The match between them and the Valley Vikings didn't end well, with the Eagle Ridge Academy Warriors falling 68-52. The Warriors were down 52-24 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Caleb Dudley led the charge by dropping a double-double on 26 points and 16 rebounds. Those 26 points gave Dudley a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Guerrero, who went 6 of 13 en route to 21 points.

Eagle Ridge Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Valley, their win bumped their record up to 4-11.

Eagle Ridge Academy will be playing at home against St. Mary's at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Mary's is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.2 points per game this season. As for Valley, they will head out on the road to take on University at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in University's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.
