Fairfield came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They took a blow against the Lakota East Thunderhawks, falling 34-7. The Indians' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Dominic Back threw for 30 yards and one TD.

Lakota East was led to victory by Ryder Hooks and Nile Knutson. Hooks gained 218 total yards, while Knutson threw for 296 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes.

Fairfield's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Lakota East, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Fairfield will host Mason at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians will be up against the Comets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 26.83 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Lakota East, they are taking a road trip to square off against Middletown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Middies' defense has only allowed 9.7 points per game this season, so the Thunderhawks' offense will have their work cut out for them.
