Football Recap: Colleyville Heritage Piles Up the Points Against the Colony + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when Colleyville Heritage faced off against The Colony on Friday. The Panthers really took it to the Cougars for the full four quarters, racking up a 73-7 victory. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 45-0.

Bodey Weaver was nothing short of spectacular: he threw for 224 yards and five TDs while completing 80% of his passes, and also rushed for 74 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries. Colleyville Heritage's leading receiver Connor Souphankhaisy was Weaver's top target yet again, picking up 75 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Colleyville Heritage was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 251 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

Colleyville Heritage didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Dax Hebeisen and Joesph Nisbet. Nisbet is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least seven every time he's taken the field this season. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Colleyville Heritage now has a winning record of 2-1. As for The Colony, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
