Volleyball Recap: Dalton Starts off Right with Win over Northwest Whitfield

Dalton had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Northwest Whitfield Bruins by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Catamounts in their matchups with the Bruins: they've now won five in a row.

Dalton never let Northwest Whitfield on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 28-26.

Anjalee Lemons was the offensive standout of the contest as she had seven assists and three aces. Those seven assists gave her a new career-high.

Coincidentally, Dalton and Northwest Whitfield will both be playing Coahulla Creek the next time they take the court. The Catamounts will head out to face the Colts at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bruins will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
