            Baseball Recap: Euclid Panthers vs. Glenville Tarblooders        
        
		
        
        
            While Euclid's  victory against Glenville wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Panthers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  14-12  win over the Tarblooders  on Monday. Considering the Panthers' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

 Malik Abdul-Wali was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with two  stolen bases, three  RBI,  and two  runs. Those  three  hits gave  him a new career-high.  Anthony Shockey was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double.
 Euclid  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .595. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Euclid's victory bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Glenville, their loss was  their sixth straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 1-9.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Euclid will take on Cleveland Central Catholic at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Ironmen have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.42  runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Glenville, they will square off against Brooklyn at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
