Softball Game Preview: Southeastern Mustangs vs. Douglas Eagles

Southeastern hasn't had much luck against Douglas recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Southeastern Mustangs will welcome the Douglas Eagles at 4:30 p.m.

Monday just wasn't the day for Southeastern's offense. They fell 4-0 to Oneonta on Monday. The loss was the Mustangs' first of the season.

Emellie Hamilton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 12 Ks.

Meanwhile, Douglas put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Appalachian, sneaking past 3-1.

Douglas' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-0. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 runs over those games. As for Southeastern, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
