Volleyball Game Preview: Grants Pirates vs. Belen Eagles + Official Tickets

Grants is 2-8 against Belen since October of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Pirates will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Grants turned things around against Highland on Thursday. They blew past the Hornets 3-0. The Pirates not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 17th (when they won 3-0).

Grants never let Highland on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 27-25, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Belen made easy work of Highland on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-19, 25-14.

Belen found their leader in freshman Khloee Padilla, who had four digs and three aces.

Belen's win bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Grants, their victory bumped their record up to 9-14.
