Baseball Recap: Richland Northeast Takes a Loss

Richland Northeast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 15-10 to the American Leadership Academy Patriots.

Kendrick Phillips made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Amari Smith, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances.

Richland Northeast's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for American Leadership Academy, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Richland Northeast wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 10-4 defeat against Fairfield Central on the 14th. As for American Leadership Academy, they have also already played their next contest, a 10-3 loss against Lowcountry Leadership on the 14th.
