Basketball Game Preview: Tradition Prep Pirates vs. Oxbridge Academy ThunderWolves

Two dominant guards in Avery Johnson and Jayden St. Fort are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Tradition Prep Pirates are taking a road trip to take on the Oxbridge Academy ThunderWolves at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Tradition Prep is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Inlet Grove just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 62-49 to the Hurricanes.

Despite their defeat, Tradition Prep saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jayden Harris, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. The dominant performance gave Harris a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Johnson, who posted 15 points.

Oxbridge Academy fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came out on top against Highlands Christian by a score of 63-50 on Friday.

Oxbridge Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Tradition Prep, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-6.
