Volleyball Recap: Valley Catholic Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Valley Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Catlin Gabel Eagles. The Valiants were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Valley Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 18-4. As for Catlin Gabel, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-7.

Valley Catholic and Catlin Gabel should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Oregon Rankings. The Valiants will challenge Santiam Christian at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (9 vs. 73). Meanwhile, Catlin Gabel (ranked 44th) will meet Corbett (ranked 141st) on Saturday.
