Basketball Recap: The Gregory School Comes Up Short + How To Watch

The Gregory School lost against Desert View back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hawks came up short against the Jaguars, falling 39-19. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Zena Smith was The Gregory School's leading scorer, having posted six points. Lauren Mayer held things down on the boards with nine rebounds.

Among those leading the charge was Daniela Nunez, who shot 55% from the field on her way to 18 points and eight boards. The last time her field goal percentage was this high was back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ximena Castaneda, who went 5-for-7 to rack up 11 points and three steals.

The Gregory School now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Desert View, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

The Gregory School wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 27-19 loss against San Simon on the 21st. As for Desert View, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 53-30 win against St. Augustine Catholic on the 22nd.
