Basketball Game Preview: Peachtree Ridge Lions vs. Brookwood Broncos

Having just played yesterday, the Peachtree Ridge Lions will get right back to it and host the Brookwood Broncos at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Brookwood took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Peachtree Ridge, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Peachtree Ridge strolled past Berkmar with points to spare, taking the game 56-38. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 57th, while the Patriots are ranked 208th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, it looked like the Kentucky Derby when Brookwood faced off against Meadowcreek on Monday. Brookwood received a blow as they fell 62-48 to Meadowcreek. The Broncos haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Peachtree Ridge has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a massive bump to their 14-10 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for Brookwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-15.

Peachtree Ridge strolled past Brookwood when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a score of 69-54. Will Peachtree Ridge repeat their success, or does Brookwood have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
