Recap: Osmond/Randolph Hawks vs. Tri County Northeast Wolfpack
While it was all tied up 24-24 at halftime, the Osmond/Randolph Hawks were not quite the Tri County Northeast Wolfpack's equal in the second half on Saturday. They fell just short of the Wolfpack by a score of 45-43. Osmond/Randolph has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
When it comes to explaining why Osmond/Randolph lost, one person who can't be blamed is Owen Severson. Despite the final result, he scored 21 points along with six rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Severson has scored all season.
Tri County Northeast got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Hunter Heikes out in front who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Heikes is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down 11 or more in the last three games he's played. Ben Jorgensen was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with three steals.
Osmond/Randolph has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Tri County Northeast, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.
Osmond/Randolph will be playing at home against Wausa at 7:45 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Osmond/Randolph focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Saturday. As for Tri County Northeast, they will head out on the road to challenge Winnebago on Friday. Winnebago is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 51.1 points per game this season.
