Penns Valley Area gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 72-44 win over the Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy WolfPack. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Chase Luckovich, who posted 13 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Cadman, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and ten boards.

Penns Valley Area and Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Rams are set to challenge their familiar foe Chestnut Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy will face off against rival Millersburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
