Softball Game Preview: Sonora Broncos vs. Miles Bulldogs

Sonora is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Miles a seven-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Sonora Broncos will host the Miles Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Sonora lost 15-6 to San Antonio HomeSchool on Tuesday.

Liliana Gallegos was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, in Friday's Canine Competition, Miles didn't have enough. They came up short against Colorado last Friday, falling 18-3.

Miles saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kambry Schniers, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1. Schniers is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Miles' loss dropped their record down to 4-15-1. As for Sonora, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-8.

Tuesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Sonora has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .474. However, it's not like Miles struggles in that department as they've averaged .549. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Sonora took their victory against Miles in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 11-1 score. Do the Broncos have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
