Volleyball Recap: Spring-Ford Starts Season with Victory Against Avon Grove

Spring-Ford had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Avon Grove Red Devils on Thursday. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Red Devils recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

While Spring-Ford won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-12, 25-22.

Spring-Ford can attribute much of their success to Dawson Beccaria, who had eight digs and three assists. Those three assists gave Beccaria a new career-high.

Looking ahead, Spring-Ford will challenge Lower Merion at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Avon Grove, they will host Kennett at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
