Volleyball Recap: Cincinnati Christian Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

If Cincinnati Christian was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Cincinnati Country Day on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cougars lost 3-0 to the Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy Eagles on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

While Cincinnati Christian ultimately came up short, they really made Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy work, particularly in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-17, 26-24.

Maddy Jones paced Cincinnati Christian's offense, picking up ten kills. Jones got some help from Anna Bowling and her 24 assists. Leah Hile controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Cincinnati Christian's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4. As for Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.

Cincinnati Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Princeton on the 22nd. As for Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Pickerington Central on the 20th.
