Game recap: Christian Brothers High School Football Team tops Bella Vista

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Christian Brothers (Sacramento, Calif.) grabbed a lead in the first quarter and rode that momentum to a 40-14 win over Bella Vista (Fair Oaks, Calif.).

The Falcons scored 13 points in the first quarter. Christian Brothers scored on a Caden Noon touchdown pass to Omari Gray and a touchdown run by Avante Yarber.

CB was up 20-7 at the half after taking the lead on a Noon touchdown pass to Gray in the first quarter.

The Sacramento school expanded its lead to 33 points entering the fourth quarter. The Falcons scored three times in the third, including once on a Yarber touchdown run.

The Broncos' Austin Harmer played well. The junior quarterback ran for one touchdown. His performance brought his touchdown total to eight on the year.



Christian Brothers' most effective player was Yarber. The senior running back ran for three touchdowns. He has now scored four touchdowns on the season.

Coming into the game CB had allowed 23.6 points per game this year. The defense really stepped up, holding Bella Vista below its season average of 18.6 points scored per game.

When the two teams played each other last season, Christian Brothers came away with a 34-20 victory.
