Recap: New Smyrna Beach Barracudas vs. Dunnellon Tigers

The New Smyrna Beach Barracudas won the last time they faced the Dunnellon Tigers, and things went their way on Monday too. New Smyrna Beach came out on top against Dunnellon by a score of 53-41.

Lukas Parschauer was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. He hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for 13 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Mclaughlin, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.

Dunnellon lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Bode Burns, who scored ten points along with six rebounds. Chris Henry was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.

New Smyrna Beach's victory bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Dunnellon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Smyrna Beach will take on Deltona at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Deltona will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak. As for Dunnellon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Port at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (West Port is ranked 361st, while Dunnellon is ranked 352nd).
