Basketball Recap: Holly Pond Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Holly Pond won against Hanceville last Monday with 53 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Holly Pond Broncos narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the West Point Warriors 53-50. The win was all the more spectacular given the Broncos' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 287th, while the Warriors are ranked 115th).

The victory (which was Holly Pond's fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-12. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for West Point, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 17-7 record this season.

It'll be an old-fashioned rodeo when the Holly Pond Broncos face off against the Southeastern Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for West Point, they will take on Ragland at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
