Basketball Recap: Faith Academy Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Faith Academy had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They had to suffer through a 96-27 loss at the hands of the Kansas City East Christian Academy Lions. The Falcons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-16.

Maddox Carrillo continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Kansas City East Christian Academy, going 7 of 8 from beyond the arc on his way to 26 points. Elias Carrillo was another key player, going 5 for 6 en route to 14 points.

Kansas City East Christian Academy pushed their record up to 9-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Faith Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kansas City East Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Kauffman at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
