Basketball Preview: Lockwood Tigers vs. Pleasant Hope Pirates
The Lockwood Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Pleasant Hope Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Lockwood has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell just short of Miller by a score of 41-38.
Meanwhile, Pleasant Hope didn't have too much breathing room in their match against the Bearcats on Thursday, but they still walked away with a 51-45 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Pleasant Hope.
Lockwood's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Pleasant Hope, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.
Lockwood was able to grind out a solid victory over the Pirates when the teams last played back in February of 2023, winning 50-38. Will Lockwood repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
