Football Recap: Andrew Lowe and Lucas Beck Pace Central Arkansas Christian Defense

Central Arkansas Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 21-17 heartbreaker at the hands of the Heber Springs Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 31-29 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Although Central Arkansas Christian took the loss, they still got scores from Brody Vantilborg and Jackson Plumlee.

Central Arkansas Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Heber Springs, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Central Arkansas Christian will face off against Riverview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Heber Springs, they will venture away from home to face off against Mills University Studies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Comets have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games.
