Basketball Game Preview: St. Petersburg Green Devils vs. Cape Coral Seahawks

The St. Petersburg Green Devils will face off against the Cape Coral Seahawks at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

St. Petersburg heads in on the heels of a playoff contest on Friday. They fell to Countryside 47-43. The game marked the Green Devils' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Despite the defeat, St. Petersburg saw an underclassman step up: freshman Nijaun Harris posted 24 points and five boards. The contest was Harris' 24th in a row with at least 15 points. Julian Macon was another key player, putting up eight points and nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, Cape Coral was just a bucket shy of victory on Wednesday and fell 48-47 to Fort Myers.

St. Petersburg's loss dropped their record down to 15-11. As for Cape Coral, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-4.
