Softball Recap: Cardinal Newman Comes Up Short

The Cardinal Newman Crusaders lost 12-4 to the Park Vista Cobras on Tuesday. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Reese Khanna made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two triples and three runs. Annabelle Walsh was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Cardinal Newman's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Park Vista, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-1.

Looking ahead, Cardinal Newman will square off against John Carroll Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cardinal Newman is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season. As for Park Vista, they will take on Spanish River at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
