Softball Recap: Silverdale Academy Comes Up Short

Silverdale Academy fell victim to Christian Academy of Knoxville and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 2-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Seahawks haven't been shut out since back in March.

Airebis Cox spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on two hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

Silverdale Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 22-6-1. As for Christian Academy of Knoxville, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-5.

Silverdale Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 6-0 victory against Grace Christian Academy on the 7th. As for Christian Academy of Knoxville, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Lakeway Christian Academy on the 7th.
