Volleyball Recap: Barrington Comes Up Short

Barrington's tournament run continued when they took on Notre Dame Academy on Friday. The Fillies/Broncos took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pandas. The Fillies/Broncos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Barrington may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 21 points in every single set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-21.

Kalyn Brookbank paced Barrington's offense, picking up 14 kills. Brookbank got some help from Eve Adler and her 18 assists.

Notre Dame Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dara Jackson, who had five digs and three aces.

Barrington's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Notre Dame Academy, their win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-4.

Barrington has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Montini Catholic on the 4th. As for Notre Dame Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Hamilton on the 3rd.
