The Bishop McCort Crushers are taking a road trip to face off against the Penn Cambria Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Bishop McCort is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.

Bishop McCort is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 11 runs on Saturday, they were much more limited against Central Cambria on Monday. They fell just short of the Red Devils by a score of 1-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Crushers were not able to get on the board.

Lariah Myers spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits.

Meanwhile, Penn Cambria fell victim to Bedford and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 10-0 to the Bisons. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Penn Cambria saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marley Shaffer, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Bishop McCort's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Penn Cambria, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Bishop McCort suffered a grim 17-7 defeat to Penn Cambria when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Crushers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
