Softball Game Preview: Hancock Panthers vs. Turkeyfoot Valley Area Rams

Hancock is on a six-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Turkeyfoot Valley Area a nine-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Hancock Panthers will host the Turkeyfoot Valley Area Rams at 4:45 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Hancock is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 21 runs last Wednesday, they were much more limited against Southern Fulton on Wednesday. They came up short against the Indians, falling 13-1.

Hancock saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kayde Gaither, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Turkeyfoot Valley Area's offense. They lost 10-0 to Shade on Wednesday.

Hancock's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Turkeyfoot Valley Area, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-3.

Hancock was able to grind out a solid victory over Turkeyfoot Valley Area in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 9-5. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
