Baseball Recap: Hayward Comes Up Short

Hayward fell victim to Castro Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 11-0 to the Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Farmers of the 19-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Hayward has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Castro Valley, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-3.

Hayward wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 4-2 defeat against Arroyo on the 9th. As for Castro Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-1 win against Tesoro on the 9th.
