Volleyball Game Preview: Mill Valley Jaguars vs. Shawnee Mission Northwest Cougars + How To Watch

The Mill Valley Jaguars will take on the Shawnee Mission Northwest Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mill Valley will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.

Mill Valley is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Kansas' top teams: Blue Valley Southwest, who was ranked third at the time (Mill Valley was ranked eighth). The Jaguars had just enough and edged out the Timberwolves 2-1.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as three sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The final score came out to 25-27, 26-24, 27-25.

Meanwhile, Shawnee Mission Northwest came up short against Olathe Northwest on Thursday and fell 3-1. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Ravens recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Shawnee Mission Northwest started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-22, 25-18, 25-20.

Shawnee Mission Northwest's loss dropped their record down to 20-8. As for Mill Valley, their win bumped their record up to 25-4.
