Basketball Recap: Riverdale Comes Up Short

Riverdale had lost eight straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 1-6 to make it nine. They were beaten by the Cedar Grove Saints 80-36. The game marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

As for Cedar Grove, the victory got them back to even at 3-3. The matchup marked their most dominant win of the season so far.

Emanuel Green produced another solid effort putting up 40 points. He is becoming a predictor of Cedar Grove's success: when he posts at least 25 points the team is 2-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Terry Coleman, who posted eight points.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Riverdale will head out to take on Lovejoy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cedar Grove, they will venture away from home to challenge Luella at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
