Soccer Game Preview: Oak Hills vs. Apple Valley

The Oak Hills Bulldogs will face off against the Apple Valley Sun Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Oak Hills will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line.

Oak Hills' defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Hesperia, sneaking past 1-0. Give the Bulldogs' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Raul Becerra, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Apple Valley's offense. They came up short against Sultana on Tuesday, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, the Sun Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 742nd, while the Sultans are ranked 103rd).

Oak Hills pushed their record up to 16-0-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Apple Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7-4.
