Volleyball Recap: Pottsville Makes It Nine in a Row at Home

There's no place like home for Pottsville, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They blew past the Tamaqua Blue Raiders 3-0 on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Crimson Tide, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-17, 25-10.

Ava Schwartz was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had eight aces, six kills, three digs, and one block. Those eight aces gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Megan Yost, who had 21 assists and two aces.

They weren't the only good server: Pottsville was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 20 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in four consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Pottsville pushed their record up to 1-2 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
