Basketball Game Preview: Neshannock Lancers vs. Union Knights/Damsels

The Neshannock Lancers will square off against the Union Knights/Damsels on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Neshannock comes in on nine and Union on four.

Neshannock is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They came out on top against Northgate by a score of 72-64. Given the Lancers' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 81st, while the Flames are ranked 237th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Union narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Greensburg Central Catholic 44-42.

The victory got Union back to even at 12-12. As for Neshannock, their win bumped their record up to 21-2.

Neshannock couldn't quite finish off Union when the teams last played back in December of 2019 and fell 52-49. Can Neshannock avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
