Basketball Recap: Southern Has No Trouble Against Pawnee City

Southern's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They took down the Pawnee City Indians 46-28. This was a revenge game for the Raiders: when they faced off against the Indians back in December of 2024, they had to take a 45-26 loss.

Despite the loss, Pawnee City still got an impressive performance from Adelyn Sisco, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds. Those 14 boards gave Sisco a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kinsley Benson, who posted 11 points.

Southern's record now sits at 7-14. As for Pawnee City, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Coming up, Southern will take on Lewiston on Tuesday. Southern is facing Lewiston at the right time seeing as Lewiston is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Pawnee City, they will face off against Axtell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
