Soccer Game Preview: Edisto vs. Whale Branch

The Edisto Cougars will challenge the Whale Branch Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Edisto will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last six times Edisto and Hampton County have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. Edisto came out on top against Hampton County by a score of 3-1. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Cougars were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Whale Branch kept a clean sheet against McIntosh County Academy on Friday. Everything went their way against the Buccaneers as they made off with a 6-0 victory. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Warriors considering their one-goal performance the game before.

Edisto pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three matches. As for Whale Branch, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4-1.
