Softball Recap: Swain County Maroon Devils vs. Mountain Heritage Cougars

It's playoff time, and Swain County had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Mountain Heritage Cougars by a score of 6-2 on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for the Maroon Devils as they're now sitting on four straight.

Rylee Rawls was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.
